Surah-Al-Baqara ayat no 231 with Urdu and English Translation

Urdu Translation

اور جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دو اور وہ اپنی عدت کو پہنچ جائیں، تو انہیں یا تو اچھی طرح روک لو یا اچھے طریقے سے رخصت کر دو، اور انہیں نقصان پہنچانے کے لیے مت روکو تاکہ ان پر ظلم کرو۔ اور جو ایسا کرے گا، اس نے اپنی ہی جان پر ظلم کیا۔ اور اللہ کی آیات کو مذاق نہ بناؤ، اور اللہ کی اس نعمت کو یاد کرو جو اس نے تم پر کی ہے اور اس کتاب اور حکمت کو جو اس نے تم پر نازل کی ہے جس کے ذریعے وہ تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے۔ اور اللہ سے ڈرو اور جان لو کہ بے شک اللہ ہر چیز کا علم رکھنے والا ہے۔

 

English Translation (Sahih International)

And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms. And do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what He has sent down to you of the Book and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.
