In Adobe Photoshop, you can save an image as a JPEG or PNG file by following these steps:

Open the image you want to save as a JPEG in Photoshop.

Go to the "File" menu in the top-left corner of the screen.

Select "Save As" or "Save As Copy."

In the "Save As" dialog box, choose the location where you want to save the file.

Select "JPEG" from the "Format" drop-down menu. Make sure to choose JPEG if it's not already selected.

Adjust the quality settings (optional): You'll see a slider for setting the quality of the JPEG image. A higher quality value results in a larger file size and better image quality, while a lower value reduces the file size but may result in some loss of image quality. You can preview the file size at the bottom of the dialog box.

Click "Save" to save the image as a JPEG.

But sometimes you are unable to find your desired extension in save as file menu. In this video we are described how to save a Photoshop file as a jpeg, png, Pdf, Gif, etc.
